FitCo Kids is geared to introduce kids, ages eighteen months old through eighteen years old, to fun activities that will endear them to fitness and healthy living for their entire lives. We also want them to become fitness ambassadors in their communities.
Our classes at FitCo Kids consist of 50 minutes of structured physical activity and general nutrition education. We will incorporate stretching, plyometrics, high intensity interval training (HIIT), circuit training, tabata, calisthenics, suspension training, playground workouts, yoga, and many other techniques. We will teach fitness fundamentals, play games and tackle obstacle courses. We encourage sportsmanship through relay races, take part in team building activities, and work on individual performance enhancement activities to make kids stronger. We will offer nutritional guidance; giving kids the tools to make healthy choices at home, in school, or when dining out. We will encourage kids of all fitness levels to find something that will pique their interest in fitness. We will make all kids feel like they are part of something extraordinary with praise and encouragement.
We encourage kids to wear comfortable clothing. Socks and shoes are required, so we ask that if your child prefers open-toed shoes normally, that they bring a pair of closed toed shoes for the class. We do not have a water fountain, so we recommend a water bottle with water.
